传奇的“Carpenters”，是美国歌星 理查德·卡朋特（Richard Carpenter）和 卡伦·卡朋特（Karen Carpenter）兄妹二人组成的演唱组合，自1970年代至1980年代初期风靡世界，至今他们的歌曲还在被众多艺人不断翻唱。

哥哥 Richard 出生于1946年10月15日，妹妹 Karen 则是出生于1950年3月2日，兄妹俩从小就表现出优异的音乐天分。1965年，卡朋特兄妹与负责贝斯和低音大喇叭的 Wes Jacobs 组建了自己的乐队，开启了他们灿烂的音乐生涯。1969年11月15日，卡朋特乐队的单曲《Close to You》（靠近你）一举走红，其后，他们在整个1970年代大获成功。《Yesterday Once More》（昨日重现）、《Top of the World》（世界之颠）、《Please Mr. Postman》（请等一下，邮差先生）等歌曲广为人知。1983年2月4日，卡伦·卡朋特因长期严重神经性厌食症而突然去世，卡朋特乐队随之告终。

[font=微软雅黑][size=3][color=DarkOrchid]这张专辑，最开始的时候，我是一次无意间，在一个即将关门的CD店里面买到的。
在这张专辑之前，我很土的只知道Carpenters的为数不多的几首很出门的歌，比如那些个Yesterday once more，Superstar，Close to You等。
但是这张专辑给了我很不一样的感觉，专辑里面，很多歌曲都是混曲，像[10.Medley: Close Encounters/Star Wars]，就是把星战的主题曲和Close Encounters混合起来了
第一次听的时候就有一种耳目一新的感觉。
上大学之后，因为无法将CD带到学校去，而且后面有了电脑之后，慢慢的忘记了有这张专辑。
今年，偶然的机会，在VC上看到了他们的四十周年专辑合集。再看到了这张熟悉的专辑，就把所有的下载了下来。
很喜欢Without A Song。歌词如下：

短短的几句歌词，但是，歌颂的是音乐的力量，如果没有歌曲，世界就不会有尽头。而，在生活中，音乐给我们的是力量，在你开心的时候，音乐陪伴着你；在你悲伤的时候，音乐陪你一起回忆，一起寂寞。
音乐，是那么的简单，简简单单的几个歌词，或者只是节奏，在某个时刻却能让你心中升起共鸣。

已经根据教程贴加入了试听。虾米网站里面这张专辑是15首，但是仔细看我发的就会发现，在第14首那边，右面有一个+(hidden)，说明那首歌是隐藏的，不是少了。
